Pretty Pet Collar for Halloween

Love your pet, and Halloween?  Then there is a quick and inexpensive project that you can make for both.

** I was compensated for this post.  This post also contains affiliate links for which I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking on my links.

Shop Dollar Tree.com for all your Halloween crafting and decorating needs.  Everything is $ 1.00!

Here is my Purrfectly posed Pussycat.

To make the purfect collar, begin with a collar.  Adjust it, so it fits your kitty.  Add a bit more length to account for the thickness of all the ribbons.

Supplies

Sheer Bright Ribbon in orange, and black
Cat collar in  orange or black

Directions.

1. Cut the ribbons into 8 inch long pieces.

2. To keep tips from fraying you can add some "Fray Check" or clear nail polish, or even glue to cut edges.

3. Tie each piece of ribbon to the collar, alternating colors as you go.

**Warning, this is intended as a decorative piece for your pet to wear for a short period. Do not leave your pet unattended with this collar for too long.

I hope that you enjoy this project and are inspired to do your own craft projects for Halloween.  Remeber, you can find all the supplies I used at your local Dollar Tree, and even online at DollarTree.com.

Halloween Decorating with Kunin Felt

Halloween will be here soon, and Kunin® Felt has lovely felts for you to craft some decorations.

"Kunin® is the clean and sustainable felt that is ideal for garment, accessory, decorating, and home decor crafting projects. "

Today on the Designers Crafters Connection Blog the Designers have many amazing projects made with Kunin Felt to share with you.  I chose to make the wall hanging shown above.

**Includes affiliate links that compensate me for purchases.

To make this I used my Cricut Explore Air™ 2 to cut the Kunin® Felt into some Halloween shaped medallions that I designed in the Cricut Design Space. The Kunin® Felt we received is the Premium Felt in 8 oz measuring 12" x 18", and the Classic felt in 5oz. Meauring 9" x 12".  Made in the US from recycled water bottles. This felt, with a stabilizer,  cuts beautifully with dies and die cutting machines.

To begin, I added a Structure One Sided Fusible Interfacing stiff interfacing to the back of each piece of felt.  Afterwards, I cut the shapes using a Deep Cut Blade and a Strong Grip mat from the Cricut line.

I painted a wooden dowel (12 ") with some DecoArt DCA47-10 Crafter's Acrylic Paint, 4-Ounce, Black, and let that dry.

The next step was to attach pieces of narrow black ribbon to use as a hanger and to connect the pieces of cut Kunin® Felt.

To attach the pumpkins, cats, ghosts, and the witch, I used some Hot Glue and my Ad-Tech 0443 Two-  Temp Cordless Glue Gun

To cover up the tied ends of the ribbon, I used hot glue and my Ad-Tech 0443 Two-  Temp Cordless Glue Gun to adhere some black pom pom trim, which I also layered a piece of purple pom pom trim above (both from Expo International). To finish off the top, I added a "Happy Halloween" scrapbook banner (K and Company) from my stash.  Plus two little plastic spider bugs from Dollar Tree.

Tools and supplies used (**Includes Affiliate links that compensate me for any purchases made.):

15 minute Halloween Craft

Have a Cricut®?  Have 15 minutes?  Then you have all you need to make this spooky Halloween Decoration for your home and be ready for All Hallow's Eve!

**This post contains affiliate links which compensate me for purchases made from these links

With the help of the Cricut Design Space I chose two images.  A haunted house, and A Halloween tree.

I cut the black cardstock with my Cricut Explore Air 2.

I drew lines on the tree with Aleene's 15601 Original Tacky Glue, 16-Ounce and on the house, which I followed with a generous amount of martha stewart glitter.

Once the glue and glitter had dried I used some Hot Glue with my
Ad-Tech 0443 Two-Temp Cordless Glue Gun  to adhere the shapes to the Glass Mason Jar.

I added some colorful faux Gems in the jar.

Finally, I inserted a battery operated Votive Candle.
