How to market your Crafts and Art by attending a trade show.

Hi, I have been absent from blog land as I was busy getting ready to travel to Anaheim California to attend the Craft and Hobby Association Mega Show in January.  This year I went as an Exhibitor and a Designer.  I had my own Designer Display in the Designers in Action section in the centre on the Trade Show floor.  It was a very exciting time in more ways than one.

Here is a look at my Designer Display:

I wanted to showcase some of the Mixed Media Art I do in addition to the Designer Work I have done in the past year.  My Design Team work was displayed in photographs in an album.  Mean while, my published writing samples were in another portfolio.  Being a proud Canadian I also had a bowl of Maple Syrup candy for visitors to enjoy!

At the centre of my display I placed my latest project: The Artist Doll.  She got quite a bit of attention.  I did design her from start to finish and I stitched every part of her myself.  She is truly a Mixed Media Piece as I used cloth, wire, batting, paint, coloured pencil, and ink to create her (of course there's a lot of Tombow adhesive used in the projects in my display :)).  I sat her on a chair which I also made with a variety of materials.  I am also proud to say that her clothing and chair cushions were made with fabric Designed by fellow Canadian Designer: Kelly Panacci.  I used her "Little Critters" line of fabric by Riley Blake.

Going to CHA is always so exciting and filled with lots of emotions.  I have returned exhausted from my experience and excited for all the new ideas I have bouncing around in my head.  I hope that you will come back to see what changes and new experiences I have in the works for my viewers on Youtube, and by followers here on my blog(s).

I am also taking a moment here to announce that I have been offered the position of Brand Ambassador for Tombow for which I am thoroughly thrilled about!  So stay tuned for lots more of my projects with Tombow.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
