Spring is almost here! It's too early to garden over where we live, as we can't even see the ground! I believe it is somewhere under all that white stuff called snow! Hahaha. In the meantime, I am gardening indoors, by making Fairy Gardens like this one:

Yes, I absolutely love it, and I know that I am very fortunate to have gotten to this point in my life where this has been possible. I have created with my hands ALL my life, and I did not need to have such a beautiful space to make stuff. I have managed with no money and very little space to be creative in the beginning, and I have struggled, worked like mad, and persevered to get to this point. Creating every day is fundamental to me, and having space where I am surrounded by natural light, nature and my loved ones is all I want. Oh, and my kitty, I love having her around too.

Craft Room Tour 2017
In my New and current workspace, I have had to adjust to working in an area approximately half the size of what I was used to in my basement. Ouch! What an adjustment that is. So I am making sure every square inch or centimeter LOL is used efficiently.
One of the ways I worked with my contractor on achieving this was to utilize otherwise wasted space to store or display many of the beautiful and smaller sized supplies I work with. For example these paint bottle cubbies.
Because we have to deal with brick walls, we needed to hang the cabinets onto some heavy duty supports anchored into the walls. This created a more significant gap between the cupboards around corners. We designed some cubbies to fill those gaps rather than just using "fillers" as is commonly used by many kitchen cabinet designers. I am very fortunate to be working with an expert craftsman as well as conscientious contractors!
I am so pleased with how my new crafting place has turned out. Although the organizing and set up is not complete as if they ever will be! I look forward to many hours of creating in this space. I wish to thank you for stopping by and spending some time with me. I do hope that you will return to see more details of how and what ways I use to organize and store things. Plus, come back to craft and play!
*** Thank you to my beloved husband, without whom none of this would be possible, and my family for their patience during these many months.
Thank you to the professionals at L.R.S, for their great work, their attention to detail, and just plain patience for putting up with all of my demands, and quirky ideas!
