Diamond Art Painting with Annmakes

Who knew there were still new crafts out there for me to try and fall in love with?  I tried Diamond Art Painting and I Liked it! Links included below (some affiliate links that pay me too). See it all in the video:

I started a YouTube playlist for Diamond Art as I seem to truly enjoy this new to me craft, and I think some of you do too.

Thanks to LeisureArts for gifting me with "Red Dala Dress."**Affiliate Link Here.

Thanks to Needle Art World for gifting me "Midnight Cat."

Thanks to Wizardi for gifting me "Charm  Dreamcatcher - Pink." Find Wizardi at www.wizardiart.com

Thanks to Plaid for gifting me "ModPodge Ultra"  in Gloss And Matte. I used the Mod Podge Ultra to seal the Diamond Dotz, and I am pleased with the results.  The dotz retained their shine, and once the product was dry it was not sticky! Note this product is not yet available on Amazon.

Stay tuned to see what I make with the Red Dress Diamond Painting.  Thanks for stopping by.

Show off Your Pride and Patriotism With Your Pet

Show off your Love for your country and your pet with a few items from the Dollar Tree (Sponsored Post), and about 15 minutes of time to make a Patriotic Pet Project.

** I was compensated for this post.  This post also contains affiliate links for which I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking on my links.

For my friends to the south, please feel free to substitute some materials that are more in line with your country's flag and colors.

Here is what you will need to make a similar cat collar.

Sheer ribbon rolls in white, and red (and blue as an option)
Cat collar in color of your choosing (e.g., red, white, blue)
Shoelaces with country's flag (in store only)

Video Here

Directions.

1. Cut the ribbons and laces into 8 inch long pieces.  I cut about ten pieces of each ribbon and lace.  I recommend measuring around the cat's neck to see what collar size would fit best. Use more or fewer strands as desired.

2. To keep tips from fraying you can add some "Fray Check" or clear nail polish, or even glue to cut edges.

3. Tie each piece of ribbon and lace to a collar, alternating colors as you go.

**Warning, this is intended as a decorative piece for your pet to wear for a short period. Do not leave your pet unattended with this collar for too long.

Bookmark Beauty

Hello, today I want to share with you a project that I had the pleasure of making as part of a friendly challenge set up by my friend and fellow Designer Carmi Cimicata who challenged a group of women including myself to make anything we wanted with this one Button blank.  It is a beautiful vintage (I think) piece that looks silver and is encrusted with rhinestones.  After some pondering, I decided to go with my first instinct and add a cat to the blank.  I don't know if it's my love of cats that inspired me or the bling around the edge as my cat loves anything shiny.  Here is my project:

I made this with some pieces of lace, and ribbon I had in my bag of scraps.  I just used fabric glue to adhere the layers of lace and ribbon.  I filled the blank with a dab of clear DecoArt™ Liquid Glass, a punched out circle made from green glitter cardstock, with part of a cat Sticker from Little B™.  I used the Liquid glass to cover and fill the blank instead of using a heavier glass dome.

Once the liquid glass had set, I folded and sewed the ends of the bookmark.  I then sewed the blank to the top of the marker.

Supplies:
Rhinestone Encrusted ButtonBlank (FromCarmi)
Green Glitter covered cardstock (stash)
Layered Cat sticker from Little B™
Liquid Glass DecoArt™
Lace (Stash)
Ribbon (Stash)

Guest Posting and Writing

Hi, if you want to read where else  Ann has been writing about crafty stuff you just might wan't to check out some of the awesome websites and newsletters by Prime Publishing.  Last week and again this week  she got published in Seams and Scissors (here is the link for this week ) and this week  there's a post on Stitch and Unwind (here is the link).  Sorry, that's all I can say as per  their contact.  But I can say that I am enjoying all the treats and toys I am getting from this, and Ann likes coming up with some content for those blogs in addition to  this one and she is still contributing to all the Design teams.  Stay tuned for more of  her creative craftiness.  Meow.

Furry Friends Blog Hop

Welcome to the Furry Friends Blog Hop brought to you by the All that Stickles design team!

Cute, cuddly, soft, and sweet, having a pet is quite the treat! This month we are honoring our furry friends with a dash of Stickles!

If you have just come across the hop and are looking to start at the beginning, please visit All that Stickles. If you've come from Sonia's blog, you're in the right place.

Here you go, here is my beloved kitty all decked out for Halloween!  Yes, she wears that collar at Halloween and greets Trick or Treaters at the door with me.  The kids and the adults love it, and my cat loves the attention.  I made these two layouts a while back and I brought them out again just because they were so appropriate for this hop.  Both have LOTS of stickles on them, and that was before I was even on the Design Team.  By the way I don't have a picture to show you but kitty loves shiny and blingy things, her favourite toys are sparkly!

Stickles used:  Rock Candy, Silver Ice Stickles, Gun Metal, Icicle, and Black Diamond.

We have blog candy for those who are a follower of All that Stickles and leave a comment on every stop of the hop! Winners will be announced Wednesday September 18th at All that Stickles.
