Today, I have a quick video on Youtube as part of the Creative Artists Collaboration group. Our theme is #LoveSummerArt. Use the hashtag to find other videos by talented art makers in the same theme.
Come back to see what happens to this painting exercise....

How To Make Doing Laundry Fun
The world's smallest laundry bag how to! Ok, so I may not have the solution to doing laundry but I do have a fun how to about decorating a small cloth drawstring bag with a laundry theme. This would actually make a great bag to tote your coins, some detergent or pods, and are dryer sheets for your next trip to the laundromat. Think of those in your life who have to go out to do their laundry and create this bag that will at least bring a smile to their faces on the dreaded "L" day.
Supplies:
Linnie Blooms Cloth bag from Die Cuts, and Linnie Blooms "Laundry Day" Pattern
Faber Castell Gelatos
Carbon Paper
Today over at the Linnie Blooms Blog I am sharing my latest Design Team project. I used a cloth bag that once held some Linnie Blooms Canvas Die Cut shapes (like these). I peeled off the stickers, inserted a piece of cardboard into the bag to create a hard surface to draw on.
I downloaded one of the NEW Linnie Blooms Stitching Patterns (available here) called "Laundry Day", reduced the size by 60%, printed it on paper and used a sheet of carbon paper to trace and transfer the pattern onto the cloth.
I used some Gelatos by Faber Castell as my water colour pigments and coloured in the images by painting each one. These new patterns make creating so easy and fun. I do encourage you to check them out and create something.

How To Collage with Handmade Paper
Collaging with handmade papers is challenging yet simple when you know what to do.
Hi, thanks for coming over today to see the project I made for the Arnold
Grummer Blog where I am one of the Designers. I want to share with you on my blog how I made this Mixed Media collage so you too can go and make one of your own.
As you may already know I make a lot of my own sheets of paper to use in my art work. My secret to making these nice flat shots is that I use a cool pour mould method that I learned when I joined the Arnold Grummer family. You too can learn the classic method by checking out Mr. Grummer's original video.
Ok, so I took four of the sheets of paper I made and stamped the doll image (Prima Stamps by Ranger) once onto three different sheets using Black Archival Ink (Ranger).
I Let the images dry and cut out the dolls entirely and two of them into pieces.
By using some matte gel medium and a brush I applied a coating to the back of each piece and onto the lightest doll cutout. Working with this medium kept the fragile paper from tearing and buckling. Hence the challenging part.
I coloured the blue sheet with some water colour splatters made with a brush. Once dry I used a black Micron ink pen to doodle some flowers.
Note I used a peach coloured Prismacolor colouring pencil to highlight the doll's face and limbs.
Finally using more of the gel medium I adhered the doll to the background.
That's it! Easy Peasy, right? :) Please let me know in the comments what you thought.
Thanks again for coming over, see you next time.

How To make a Water Colour Journal
Hi, I just made this journal with a Home Decor kit from Linnie Blooms: Rustic Journal. I have the project posted over at the Linnie Blooms Design Team Blog here. So just click on the blue here and that will take you to more pictures of my work in steps.
Briefly I used the kit: Rustic Journal from LB....
Thank you for stopping by.

and with the help of my Gelatos I changed the look and personalized it. I wanted a small size journal that would allow me to make small works of art on the go. I chose to use water colour paper for the pages so I would have a sturdy, thick paper that could take on wet supplies like ink and paint.
Thanks to Linnie Blooms for the Rustic Journal Kit, to Plaid® for the ModPodge, and to Spiced Sunshine Stamps for The Buzzing Bees stamps.

Watercolour and Stamping
Hello, so to start the new year and share my new series of crafty goodness I have for you a cute and easy tag/ embellishment I made as a shout out to my friends over at Sin City Stamps.
Here is my Raggedy Ann tag:
Of course I just love anything with the iconic rag doll as we share the same name and I loved dolls as a little girl. To be honest I still do. To make this I used the supplies listed below.
Supplies:
Manilla Tag by Paper Accents™
Old book page paper from my stash
Stencil by Stampendous
Mask by ditto Hampton Art
Painters tape from Stanley Works
Stamp of Raggedy Ann from My Heart Stamps For you
Pieces of twine from my stash
Aleene's Tacky Glue by Duncan enterprise
Tim Holtz Distress Inks by Ranger in: Peacock feathers, Mustard seed, and Spun sugar.
StazOn® Black solvent ink by Tsukineko
Crayola marker in red by Crayola®
Mod Podge by Plaid®
Caran D'Ache Neocolor II® watercolor crayons.
A small brush for water color by Talens
5 vintage buttons from my stash
Directions:
1. Using the Distress inks and some sponges or daubers apply the ink using the stencil. Overlay the mask and continue inking. Adding colour randomly.
Remove mask and stencil. Let dry.
2. On a piece of an old book page stamp the image using StazOn. Let dry completely. I used this permanent solvent ink so that the water colors would not run when applied.
3. Rub chosen colors of watercolour crayons on a plastic palette. With a damp paint brush pick up colors off palette and color in image one color at a time. Making sure to clean the brush in between colors. Let dry.
4. Tear around the coloured stamped image, ink the edges. Once dry glue to tag with some glue and coat with a sealer such as Mod Podge.
5. Using a black pen add stitching lines around word Hooray (that was mask). Glue on some buttons and attach twines.
For a great place for beautiful products to use in your own crafty endeavours go check out my friends at Sin City Stamps.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. Come back soon to see what else I am up to.
