DIY Craft Stencils and Masks with Hot Glue

It's Hot Glue Tips time!  that's right, check out all the fabulous Hot Glue Crafts that you can make with your Glue Gun and Sticks.  It's fast, fun and easy. *Affiliate links included*

In this video I show you how easy it is to make your very own stencils, masks, and stamps for your crafting and art making needs with just your glue gun!  I warn you it's easy and addictive. LOL.  So just be careful when working with hot glue as it can burn your fingers.  DON'T touch the hot glue or the tip of the Glue Gun when it is hot!  Keep a bowl of cold water nearby just in case you do get glue on your skin, or wear protective fingers mitts.  Trust me!  Use adult supervision with children.

Decoupaged Flower Pot How To

Learn how to Decoupage with napkins and Terra Cotta pots to make this craft that takes less than 15 minutes.

Easy Peasy and Cheap!

Check out other Terra Cotta/Clay Pots crafts that take under 15 minutes, here.

All you need to do is start with a clay pot.

I like to buy them at the Dollar Tree for 1.25$ (Cdn.).

I chose to paint the pot first with a coat of white Gesso, paint is acceptable too.

Once the Gesso or paint is dry, brush on some of the Mod Podge (a glue and sealer all in one).

Glue down the thin top layer of one or more decorative paper napkins.

It should take less than 15 minutes to make.

Watch this video to see just how easy decoupage can be.

15 minute Halloween Craft

Have a Cricut®?  Have 15 minutes?  Then you have all you need to make this spooky Halloween Decoration for your home and be ready for All Hallow's Eve!

**This post contains affiliate links which compensate me for purchases made from these links

With the help of the Cricut Design Space I chose two images.  A haunted house, and A Halloween tree.

I cut the black cardstock with my Cricut Explore Air 2.

I drew lines on the tree with Aleene's 15601 Original Tacky Glue, 16-Ounce and on the house, which I followed with a generous amount of martha stewart glitter.

Once the glue and glitter had dried I used some Hot Glue with my
Ad-Tech 0443 Two-Temp Cordless Glue Gun  to adhere the shapes to the Glass Mason Jar.

I added some colorful faux Gems in the jar.

Finally, I inserted a battery operated Votive Candle.

Here is another view of the project.

Show off Your Pride and Patriotism With Your Pet

Show off your Love for your country and your pet with a few items from the Dollar Tree (Sponsored Post), and about 15 minutes of time to make a Patriotic Pet Project.

** I was compensated for this post.  This post also contains affiliate links for which I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking on my links.

For my friends to the south, please feel free to substitute some materials that are more in line with your country's flag and colors.

Here is what you will need to make a similar cat collar.

Sheer ribbon rolls in white, and red (and blue as an option)
Cat collar in color of your choosing (e.g., red, white, blue)
Shoelaces with country's flag (in store only)

Video Here

Directions.

1. Cut the ribbons and laces into 8 inch long pieces.  I cut about ten pieces of each ribbon and lace.  I recommend measuring around the cat's neck to see what collar size would fit best. Use more or fewer strands as desired.

2. To keep tips from fraying you can add some "Fray Check" or clear nail polish, or even glue to cut edges.

3. Tie each piece of ribbon and lace to a collar, alternating colors as you go.

**Warning, this is intended as a decorative piece for your pet to wear for a short period. Do not leave your pet unattended with this collar for too long.

Make Mom a Pretty Organizer this Mother's Day

**Includes sponsored links

Today let's alter an organizer for mom that will make her smile every day.  As part of this month's Craft Lightning round, I am sharing my idea for making a Mother's Day gift that can be made in 15 minutes or less.

By taking an inexpensive acrylic makeup organizer purchased at a Dollar Sore, some glittery decorative tape, and some faux gemstones I created this:

Making one of these is super easy and quick.  I recommend wiping down the sides of the organizer with some alcohol or to clean with soap and water.

I do this just to make sure that the tape will adhere well to a clean surface.

Once the tape is burnished with just your finger, a spoon, or an old credit card, it is time to apply some sparkling gems.  The embellishments I used already had a sticky backing to them.  It may be best to add a little bit of glue.

Easy peasy!  Now, mom has a cute way to organize some beauty items on the vanity

or some office supplies on her desk.

I hope that you enjoyed this quick how to and that you can make mom feel special this coming Mother's Day.

Thank you for stopping by, check out the other craft ideas, and come back soon!  Oh, and Stay Crafty!
