Glitter and Lemons?
As a Designer on the Get Inky! Design Team this is my spin on our Glitter challenge going on at our challenge blog. I made this summery card with the intention of it being used as an all girls (sorry guys) only crafty party invitation. The outside reads "When life gives you lemons" and the inside reads; "Make lemonade". Both sentiments are from the "Joyful Jars" cling stamp set from Blue Moon.
The sentiment on the face of the card was stamped with Barn Door red Distress ink by Ranger, and I stamped it onto a digital stamp "Banner" from Get Inky! for Blue Moon Creation. The papers I used are from my stash of G 45 Bathing Beauties papers. I made the lacey border on the papers' edges with a Creative Memories border maker and Scallops cartridge. The mini pom pom trim and the dotted swiss ribbon trims are both from Stampin' Up!. Note that the little brads holding up the banner are tall glasses of lemonade, these were from my own stash. I used the jar and the handle stamp from the Joyful Jars Cling Stamps collection from Get Inky! I stamped with black Archival ink onto some scraps of plastic left over from some packaging. I traced the outline of both images with a black glaze pen to add some relief. Once the ink was dry I added extra fine glitters by Glitter Ritz. The lemonade in the jar is actually just the bottom part of the jar which I stamped onto a scrap of card stock and coloured with pencils. The ice cubes and lemon wedges are also stamps from the Joyful Jars collection which I stamped onto white card stock, coloured with glaze pens and added Glitter ritz. The ice cubes and lemons are under the plastic and over the lemonade to give it that 3-D look. I used dimensional foam and some paper manipulating techniques to give the lemonade a concave look and adhered the plastic and papers together with Glossy Accents. The whole jar is fixed to the card with dimensional foam.
I hope that this gives you some inspiration on how to use stamps and glitter. Please check out the challenge blog and give it a try! Also, join us from Saturday June 1 to 3 for our very first Blog Hop! We are all very excited about this.

Turquoise Rain
Hi everyone, here is my art journal page that I made earlier this week as it was raining and I was feeling down. It continued to rain all week but I am not down anymore. I made this page by spraying on several shades of Dylusions mists and water. I also splattered some diluted acrylic paints. I wrote the poem about Rain and added a digital image from Bugaboo designs which I coloured with my copics and colouring pencils. I drew the large raindrops and decorated them with some Turquoise Stickles. As a Designer on the Team for The All That Stickles Blog I made this for the Linky party. Go and see what the other gals have done and join the party.

summer's favorite treat... ice cream! Bring on the cool scoops of your favorite ice cream flavor, ( mine happens to be Heavenly Hash) the never-ending list of toppings, and of course, you can't forget the cherry on top!
Today the All that Stickles design team has created many different
ice cream-themed projects for you to savor. :) And what's our
favorite topping?! Stickles, of course!

ice cream-themed projects for you to savor. :) And what's our
favorite topping?! Stickles, of course!
For my project, I made...

a box type drawer for storing my overflow of die cutting cartridges.
It all started with this left over box from a gift set of bath products I had. The bottom of the box seemed too cute to toss into the recycling bin. I kept the box for a while not knowing what I would do with it. In the process of re reorganizing my studio and in the spirit of this blog hop I remembered my cute box. It turned out to be the perfect size to fit on my new shelf just below my die cutting machine and it holds my cartridges just right. I decided to bling up the ice cream and candy just because it is my studio and it is kind of the only spot in my house that has pink girly stuff! I also dug out some fun little ice cream cones that had been repurposed from some pony tail elastics. I collect all sorts of things, cause you never know!
For the bling I chose these yummy Stickles: Candy Cane; Cotton Candy; Icicles: Pink; Orange Peel and Fruit Punch. I added some dabs here and there and some dots along the top on the pink fringy banner.
This is a closer view of my stickles work.
Finally I just had to add a stickle cherry to the top of one of the little ice cream cones, and some stickle sprinkles for good measure. Using my hot glue gun I affixed this little gem on to the front center of my new box drawer, to use as a pull knob.
I had fun making this and it is really useful. I hope that you enjoyed my project. Keep hopping along to see what my team mates have created. They are talented gals! Also if you would like to stay in the know about my other projects please leave a comment below AND leave your email in the follow by email box on the left.

Cupcakes in the studio...
I have been busy re organizing in my studio lately, but paused a while to continue working on this mixed media canvas I had started. It is a fun piece that I wanted to use the digital stamp image: "Cupcake Curls", from Get Inky! for Blue Moon Creation. I download the cupcake and printed it onto regular copy paper three times and cut out the different components. I transferred one image directly to the canvas and then I proceeded to adding the layers of collaged old book pages from a vintage Betty Crocker Children's Party cookbook. I also added some pieces of torn cupcake liners. With gelatos and glimmer mists and paints I worked up the background. I cut out a red cupcake base from some scrap thick scrapbooking paper that I ran through a paper crimper to give it that cupcake liner look. The frosting I made with white paint, gesso a heat gun and then white puffy paint and more heat gun. I added Cotton Candy coloured Stickles by Ranger as sprinkles. The cherry on top is a faux ruby heart gem. The ribbon around the base is from my stash. The fork at the bottom is a party remnant.
I hope you enjoy!

Card and Gift Bag for Mother's Day
Hello, for the Get Inky! challenge going on I made this project using the digi. Mother's Day Funky Flowers form Get Inky! for Blue Moon Creation. The challenge theme is Flowers. Go check it out there are some pretty prizes....
Using a premade white paper gift bag and some Glimmer mists by tattered angels in Wheat Field and Tattered Rose, I coloured the bag up using the sprays and a rose stencil I have. The card is a standard 5 x 6 pre folded card that I adhered a handmade cotton paper with gold threads embedded, on top of which I attached a piece of printed vellum that I also embossed with a Cuddle Bug Baby's Breath folder. I inked the embossing with Victorian Velvet Distress ink by Ranger. I downloaded and printed the Mothers Day Funky Flowers digital (Get Inky!) onto white card stock, cut it into a circle, and coloured the flowers with various Prismacolor pencils. I cut a larger light pink circle as a base and then an even larger fuchsia circle which I further cut with a circle die cut punch by Fiskar. I made little bows from 1/4" rose coloured satin ribbon. The card is sticking to the bag by having its corners temporarily held up by some clear photo corners by Creative Memories. That way the recipient can remove the card without damaging the card or bag. I added the big satiny light pink ribbon and a silk pink daisy type flower to the bag handle.
The gift itself consists of some gardening goodies: gloves, tools, seeds, and bulbs.
I hope you like this. Don't forget to check out the challenge and prizes at http://getinkychallenge.blogspot.com. Please leave a comment and enter your email to follow me.

Mermaids and Art Journaling
Hello,
Welcome to one of what I hope will be many posts about some of my Art Journaling. Among all of the things I create I also work in several art journals. I use these to journal, create art, doodle, make notes, try out techniques and what ever.... most of it is personal, so I only share certain things!
This two page spread was made over several days and with many different techniques and processes.
The pages were prepared with a variety of ink sprays and glimmer mists, some stencils and masks and water. The mermaid is a digital stamp image from Fresh Brewed Designs, one of our sponsors at All That Stickles, I downloaded and printed the image on regular paper. I coloured the mermaid with a variety of Faber Castell colouring pencils and markers. I painted over with clear gesso to protect the image and to be able to work on it later in the journal. When it was dry I fussy cut it and adhered it to the journal page using my Xyron double sided adhesive. With some Inktense pencils and water I blurred the edges of the cutout into the page. I used a lot of Icicle Stickles to enhance the bubbles on the image as well as to create more bubbles coming from the sea floor. At the bottom of the page I added some Dew Drops from The Robin's Nest (another sponsor at All that stickles) which I added to with some more Icicle Stickles. I made some seashell shapes cut from old book pages and distressed with Chalk inks. The Dangling seaweed like vines are ribbon trim from my stash and so are the sea shell sequin embellishments. I also used some Cinnamon stickles too add some shine to the vines.
I hope that you enjoy. Please leave me a comment and leave your email in the Follow by email box on the left. Thanks for looking.

Baby, Baby, Baby
Baby, Baby, Baby....I love glitter.
Bring on the bouncing babies! It's time for a Baby Blog Hop filled with all sorts of cute, fun, and of course, sparkly, baby themed projects!
If you've come from Karen's blog, you're in the right place! If you've just come across the hop and would like to start at the beginning, please visit All that Stickles.
For my project, I've made
For my project, I've made
I made a Treasure Box to hold a sweet baby boy s memories. My own babies are now big boys
but this would have made a sweet box for them too. I used a wooden hinged box that I stained with Ranger Distress Stains in: Spun Sugar, Vintage Linen, and Broken China. I covered the top of the box with silk flowers that I already had and some lacey roses, also from my stash. I added some more of my lace around the sides of the box. I glued some cute little baby embellishments such as alittle baby, a rattle, some diaper pins and a little teddy bear bead. Most of these items I found in the party section of my dollar store.
I used Stickles in Baby Blue and Stardust. there are also a few Dew Drops from our sponsor: The Robins Nest. The fairy is a digital download from our sponsor Fresh brewed Designs, which I coloured with Faber Castell Colouring pencils and metallic markers, after I added the stickles. I hope you like. Please leave a comment and leave your email in the box to the left to follow me.
